The Team

Harry Harbottle

Harry is the Managing Director Timberplay Scotland. Through working with Richter Spielgeräte GmbH. Harry spent much of his time helping to establish innovative and exciting playspaces across Europe. For 20 years he was appointed as an expert to the European Commission in consumer safety and child safety.

He is also a co-author of a guide to the European Standard for the Safety of Playground Equipment, published by DIN, the German Standards Organisation and now available in 6 languages. He is a frequent speaker on the international scene particularly on the subject of the balance between play value and safety and passionately believes in allowing all children the chance, through play, to reach their full potential whatever their ability or circumstances.

Kitty Lee

Kitty is Office Manager for Timberplay Scotland. Over 15 years’ experience in areas including Customer Service, Accounts and Office Administration. Key experience includes fulfilling customer orders from initial quotations right through to delivery management and post sales queries. Kitty has also gained extensive knowledge of public and community play environments while employed by Nature Play Ireland Ltd.

Working daily with partners in Germany, Spain and the UK, Kitty uses her extensive practical ability to manage international contracts and operations.

Mark Grimshaw

Mark holds a degree in Geography from Lancaster University, and a Masters in Urban Regeneration and Development which was achieved at the University of Manchester. Prior to joining Timberplay Scotland, he spent the previous 12 years in a project management capacity at a Community Interest Company. As Contract Manager, Mark led their landscape contracting division; delivering a wide range of projects including play, public realm, civils and maintenance. Working with landscape architects has provided him with an extensive working knowledge of landscape projects and their effective delivery from drawing board to site.

Passionate about engaging with the environment – a keen walker, runner and cyclist – Mark wants children to develop via natural play opportunities, and by experiencing risk and challenge. By working closely with our clients, Mark ensures his knowledge and passion drives the effective delivery of our quality projects and services.
